MDA - Oil Floral
Peggy began painting in 1974 while a partner with Terry Perniciaro, a craft and gift shop in Michigan. She states, “Having no artistic background and no desire to paint, I took my first classes (resisting all the way!) in order to be more informed about painting supplies being sold in the shop”. Amazing how your life can take a new turn. Peggy has been painting, learning and teaching ever since.
Peggy received her MDA in 1989 and is an honorary recipient of the 1-Kyu Certification from the Nihon Tole Painting Association in Japan. She has written two fabric painting books and numerous magazine articles and publishes a line of design packets for both oil and fabric painting.
Her work has been featured in “The Best of Decorative Painting”, published by North Light, “The Art of Tole Painting”, Volume l2, published by Graphic-Sha, Japan and other Decorative Painting anthologies.
Flowers and still life are Peggy’s favorite subject matter and we are extremely fortunate and delighted to have her teaching at the studio.
She is phasing out of teaching during 2007 so she can spend time with her family and concentrate on painting and publishing. Peggy is a teacher you don’t want to miss painting with at least once. Her class is like an expensive brush, “A must have class and want another”.
Her painting technique is one you will want to learn.
